Single Stream Recycling - All in one Cart!
  • All recyclable materials is to be placed it the provided recycling cart(s).
  • All material must fit into the cart with the lid closed.
  • Please rinse food residue and debris from containers to avoid contamination.
  • Up to three recycling carts (35, 64, or 96 gallons) are provided for residential use.

CRV (consumer redemption value) recyclables, such as disposable beverage containers can be taken to Waste Management's Buyback Center for reimbursement.

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.; closed Noon – 12:40 p.m.

  • Up to three yard waste cart (35, 64, or 96 gallons) are provided for residential use.
  • All material must fit into the cart with the lid closed.
  • Sod is unable to pass through the mulchers, therefore must be placed in trash receptacles.

Other acceptable green waste includes:

Lawn clippings
Garden trimmings
Leaves and weeds
Wood chips and small wood scraps
Tree branches and shrubs

Recycle holiday trees in one of the following ways:


  • Curbside pickup will be available for two weeks following the holiday (December 26, 2013 to January 13, 2014) and the tree will be picked up on the normally scheduled collection date.
  • Trees taller than six feet must be cut in half and placed next to the green waste cart.
  • When possible, residents are asked to cut down the tree so that it fits inside the green waste cart, with the lid closed for collection. 
  • Remove all decoration including tinsel, lights, ornaments and tree stands.
  • Flocked trees cannot be recycled, and must be disposed of through regular trash service.  Flocked trees must fit into the trash cart, with the lid closed for collection.”

Reduce-Reuse-Recycle: close the loop

The following tips will help residents reduce, reuse and recycle.

  • Use cloth hand towels in kitchen vs. paper towels.Woman using hand towel instead of paper towel
  • Use reusable shopping bags vs. disposable bags.
  • Purchase bulk beverages and use reusable beverage containers vs. individual bottles/cans.
  • Use a reusable lunch box or bag.
  • Try renting items not used very often.
  • Find alternative ways to wrap gifts, such as a reusable cloth, a reusable decorative box or a reusable bag.
  • Use reusable plastic containers for food instead of plastic bags.
  • Read books, magazines or newspapers at the library.
  • Use reusable plates, cups, and utensils that can be washed rather than disposable dinner ware.
  • Repair and fix a broken item instead of buying a new one.
  • Use old t-shirts, socks and gloves as cleaning rags around the house.
