The piece consists of six different elements, five of which are similar in shape and size. The five elements over the walkway on the outside of the library are composed of two right triangles connected at the spines creating an acute angle, similar in shape to a paper airplane. Each element has a different type of foliage cutout attached to the triangular frame. The plant motifs are black walnut, Fremont cottonwood, California sycamore, blue gum, and coast live oak. On the proper right side of the building is the sixth element, with is composed of six triangles with foliage cutouts mounted on the outside of the conference room window. All of the elements have a mottled green patina on a smooth dark brown surface.
