On Your Own Time:
The National Arts Program at Carlsbad
June 22 - July 22, 2007
"On Your Own Time: The National Arts Program at Carlsbad," an exhibition of artworks produced by City of Carlsbad employees and their families, was on display from June 22 through July 22, 2007 at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery, in the Carlsbad City Library Complex, 1775 Dove Lane, Carlsbad.
The third version of this exhibition, presented in 2005, included more than 160 artworks by 120 employees and family members, ranging from photography and watercolor to metal sculpture and fiber crafts. In 2007, cash prizes in 16 classifications were awarded to participants for original, creative works in the field of fine arts and crafts. The submissions were judged by an awards committee made up of Arts Commissioners Heath Fox, Ron Juncal and Fran Carrillo.
